Our vision is that no child in Tanzania lives with a treatable disability.
Job Overview and General Responsibilities
Kafika House, an international NGO, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Enrolled Nurses to join our team. The nurse will play a critical role in providing pre and post operative care and rehabilitation to children with surgically treatable disabilities. The position involves ensuring that children receive high-quality care in a safe and loving environment while supporting their recovery and overall well being.

Role Responsibilities
- Performing Initial Assessments for pediatric patients.
- Creating Care Plans for pediatric patients.
- Patient medication management.
- Attending medical and surgical patient clinics and liaising with the doctors to advocate for the best care/treatment for each patient.
- Participate in daily and weekly patient rounds to provide general wellness updates and care plan updates.
- Perform pre and post operative wound care according to the plan of care.
- To perform pre and post-operative therapeutic exercises according to the plan of care.
- To listen to patients and their families and tend to their questions and concerns.
- To educate patients and their families regarding patient treatment.
- Responsible for keeping a clean and organized work space and clinic room.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and protecting patient confidentiality.
- Documentation of all patient care plans and progress in the Electronic Medical Record system.
- Supervise and teach students and volunteers, both local and international.
Education, skills, and experience
- Holder of a certificate in Nursing from recognized University or College with valid and up to date practising licence
- Minimum work experience of 3 years in relevant position
- Computer literate (including excel, word, google suite, Patient Management Database)
- Working or worked within children environment for at least 1 year
- Proficient in written and spoken English and Swahili
