This report seeks to present an overview of Jhpiego’ s current projects in Tanzania, highlight Jhpiego Tanzania’s key collaborative achievements, impact, and success stories from the field for Fiscal Year 2024. It also intends to offer a preview of what lies ahead for Jhpiego Tanzania in 2025.

Jhpiego works with health experts, government and community leaders in Tanzania to provide high-quality health care for people. Jhpiego develops strategies to enhance the provision of health care services by training competent health care workers, strengthening health systems and improving delivery of care. Jhpiego designs innovative, effective and low-cost health care solutions to ensure a level of care for women and their families.

Objective

The purpose of this consultancy is to design the Annual Report which includes highlights on program impact/outcome and success stories, best practices, and lessons learned through texts,photos and infographics to be shared with partners and the general public as part of the sharing of knowledgeand dissemination of Jhpiego Tanzania’s activities in the past year.

The expected output of this task to make sure that, Jhpiego key stakeholders including government official, Tanzanian and the International Community get the report with the work the organization has accomplished in the past year as part of sharing knowledge and lesson learned during program’s implementations.

Scope of Work

1. Layout/Design the Jhpiego Tanzania annual report

The consultant will be required to accomplish the followings:

Make design and layout of the annual report.
2. Methodology

The consultant’s work will be based on Jhpiego’ s content, which will include photos and text.

Jhpiego responsibilities

Jhpiego will provide all the reference materials, photos and texts needed in designing and repackaging compiling program accomplishments
Jhpiego technical staff will be available to support the consultant in respective technical areas
Jhpiego procurement team will lead the identification of the printing vendor for all materials. The consultant will be consulted based on his/her experience and expertise, to ensure quality printing is done.
Jhpiego will co-ordinate and oversee all activities under this assignment and ensure that all logistics to enable the process are available.
Jhpiego will provide technical over-sight, coordinating the necessary approvals from the Government and the donor (where necessary), monitor the deliverables from the consultant as specified in this scope of work.
Jhpiego receive regular updates from the consultant with a final evaluation of the quality of work at the end of the consultancy.
Jhpiego will work with and advise the consultant on each of the responsibilities and tasks indicated above.
Jhpiego will ensure that remuneration for consultancy services offered is remitted to the Consultant as per contract.

Deliverables

Print ready electronic copy of the annual report.

Required Qualifications
The consultant Should have the following qualifications:

The consultant must have minimum of 3 years’ work experience in digital material design or related field.
Experience working with local and international organizations and clients of similar discipline
The consultant must show proven experiences of successfully executing similar assignments
Advanced degree in relevant field
Maturity and professional ability to handle sensitive information and ability to respect the confidentiality of such information while working with Jhpiego and even after the contract ends
Proven ability to work effectively with others – including in multicultural team – and strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work under pressure, and commitment to meet deadlines
Evidence of good quality infographics messages
Fluency in English and Swahili

Timeline and duration

This consultancy is for 5 days
The consultant is expected to start the work finish with the month of February, 2025
